Assist the Chief Steward/ assistant chief steward in supervising and coordinating the activities of the stewarding personal and participates in their activities in his shift.
Ensures cleanliness of work areas, maintenance of various cleaning equipment is to established standards.
Ensures that silver, glassware, chinaware and pots and pans are properly washed, cleaned and stored according to established standard.
Assists in preparing inventory lists for outside / inside Banquets and checks inventory again upon completion of banquet.
Ensures that the use of chemical and detergents in use in stewarding operation are to the required specification.
Ensures that storerooms under the control of the stewarding operation are kept in a neat and orderly fashion.
Prepares store rooms requisition for approval by supervisor.
Assists supervisor in taking inventories.
Ensures grooming and state of uniform of self and subordinates are to the required standard.
Establishes and maintains effective employee relation.
Ensures that personnel handling tableware, silver, glassware and equipment in established manner to minimize breakage.
Initiates repair and maintenance orders as appropriate.
Complies with EHC hygiene and sanitation standards.
Complies with Hotel’s Health and safety policy.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
